Well, whaddya know? The Alien franchise is once again starting to show signs of intelligent life…thanks primarily to the announcement that O.G. director Ridley Scott will be returning to helm a prequel to the hit sci-fi series he helped launch exactly three decades ago.
It'll likely be a few years before the franchise is back up and running—the script hasn't even been written yet, let alone gone through the umpteen rewrites such a blockbuster requires—but still, it's nice to know you can phone go home again.
