Dear Ted:
I hate to join the masses who disagree with you about the Perez Hilton thing, but I just wanted to say this: I'm a black woman who does not approve of the N-word. It is said by black people to black people (and many of us don't approve) in jest or anger. In this case, the F-word was said by a gay man to a nongay man to bait him into anger. I understand your point that it happens every day, but if we want more people to understand that the F-word is a slur, we should treat it that way. To not be upset about it kind of condones the usage. To me it is the same thing that Isaiah Washington did, but more annoying since Perez really should have known better. On another note, could you imagine if a black guy used the N-word to tick off a white guy? It's funny because being mistaken for a black person isn't an insult in most places. Can't wait until we get to the same place with LGBT people.
MHuddles

Dear Wordplay:
Listen, if you want to crucify Perez, there are plenty of opportunities. I just don't think this should be one. Yes, of course, Perez probably should have known better. But he shouldn't be crucified for doing what the black community does constantly: taking back the power of hurtful words and reusing them as they see fit. It's Chris Rock's whole stand-up routine, for heaven's sake.

Dear Ted:
What's your take of the CNN interview that Joe Jackson did at the BET Awards? He responded "great" when asked how he was doing. Would you really say "great" when your son had suddenly died three days ago? It indicates to me that Joe really was extremely jealous of Michael.
Mmmckinn

Dear Self-Righteous:
I think he really did seem fine, which is perfectly fitting for how Joe treated M.J. throughout his life. Plus, from the way Joe has been conducting himself lately, and since he himself might have known about being snubbed from the will, I'm certainly not surprised.

Dear Ted:
So what's going on between Elizabeth Reaser and Peter Facinelli? They are always holding hands, hugging, hanging all over each other, etc...mucho PDA—way too much for "just friends."
Mm10

Dear Cullen Coupling:
Robert Pattinson
and Kristen Stewart thank you for diverting attention from them. Peter is married, though?

Dear Ted:
Just a suggestion for your tech people: Is there a way to have the most recent comments show up first underneath your posts, rather than in the order they are posted? I just don't have the patience to page through hundreds of comments to see what people have said (especially on the Blind Vices). Otherwise, keep up the good work—and more Robsten please!
Wendy

Dear Tech Casablanca:
Consider it passed along because I know E! Online is revamping our comments section as we speak.

Dear Ted:
Is it just me or the photos I see? Rob always has a sad look in his eyes, and not often seen smiling on the set of Remember Me except while in character or giving a smile to fans? From all the pictures I have seen while filming Twilight and New Moon there are always photos and videos of him joking around, hanging around and talking to cast, especially Kris. I don't see that on the set of R.M. Is no one actually seeing this interaction, or is Rob just not happy on the set? I so believe in Robsten, and I have my own opinion of what I want the answer to be, but I wanted your oh-so-Robsten opinion.
Stephanie

Dear Hungry Eyes:
You might be reading into his eye-centric emotions a little too much, but I'm with you in thinking that Rob's head definitely isn't in the same place his body is. 'Cause we know his heart ain't in NYC!

Dear Ted:
I agree with the celebs, I am so tired of the media being so insensitive and trying Michael Jackson again. We don't care and want to know about all of the negative aspects of what you all have been reporting. Have some compassion. His family has lost a son, brother, father and uncle. I majored in Mass Communications and wanted to be a journalist. I am so glad that I did not.
RGC, Savannah, Ga.

Dear Jaded Journalist:
The journalistic media is not being overly cruel—just doing its job. You should know from your studies that you have to look at stories from all angles, whether it's PC or not.

Dear Ted:
Michael Jackson was an amazing entertainer. The best ever. However, I'm having a difficult time mourning for Michael Jackson, the person. Now that we have learned the amount of drugs he took daily, I'm appalled that he was actually able to have custody of those children. Not to mention the alleged child molestations. My question to you: How much longer do we have to honor Michael Jackson the entertainer? How much longer do we have to condone his horrible behavior?
Tired of M.J.

Dear Celebrity Cycle:
Like every other celeb death, there's sympathetic hype followed by ruthless gossiping. Michael will always be remembered as an entertainer, which is something that has lasted even though his personal life has tried to overshadow his music. However, that doesn't mean his personal demons are taboo.

Dear Ted:
Love your column, Ted, and not a day goes by that I don't stop by multiple times! I'm still stuck on the identity of Nevis Divine. Is he the oh-so-gorgeous Alexander Skarsgård?
Jill

Dear Blind Vice Bloodsucker:
You and many people are, darling! Nevis is not what he seems to be; read the clues carefully. And that's a no on A.S., but close.

Dear Ted:
Do physicians not take the Hippocratic Oath? Do these M.D.s make their own medical rules? Sorry to see you are a little naive. Isn't it in this country that 65 percent of Americans with insurance are bankrupt because of the cost of their treatments. Some died. They can't afford the surgery that will save their life—yes pro-life for the unborn but not for the sick. How many cases of people dead by negligence? Like branches of dentists that tortured little kids (6 years old and up) attached them for hours, take all their teeth at once (in some cases) under extreme force for no reason just to make profit! While the low-income mothers don't have a clue. Until the kid is left go and come out with the lost of their innocence under the most horrible torture! And what happens to those evils scumbags nothing, no jail time for their monstrous crime against little kids. Welcome to America the beautiful, compare to Europe. In USA they can for big profit.
Ornetari

Dear Medical Head Case:
What have you been prescribed, darling?

Dear Ted:
More of a comment, really. I am a mom and I think you and the media are bashing Kate Gosselin unfairly. Just my opinion. My husband actually agrees with me. I am just tired of everyone bashing her when Jon is the ass here.
L. Johnsen

Dear Mama TLC:
I'm just tired of effing Jon and Kate! They're not celebs, but an actual family. I think the fun is taken out of it now that the big D is a go. However, the editing of those last couple of Jon & Kate episodes really sympathized with Kate. Blame both of them for being media idiots and ruining their family themselves.

Dear Ted:
Has Johnny Depp ever been a topic of one of your blind vices?
MHeaton1

Dear Depp in Thought:
Good, wholesome, crazy Johnny Depp? No, shockingly. But he can no doubt be linked to some of the juiciest B.V.s out there by six degrees or less.

Dear Ted:
I'm in love with your column and the whole Robsten drama. I cannot wait for these two to "come out" already! I am a huge fan of Wentworth Miller. Got any juice on him? Pretty please!
Jrondon2112

Dear Wentworth It?:
I've always thought the Prison Break cutie was a little boring, both in interviews and on the show. He needs a personality injection, stat. But of course, tons of hidden dirt on W.M. After all, the publicly dull are privately naughty.

Dear Ted:
I hate that all the so called "Robsten fans" believe that Robert Pattinson is only Kristen Stewart's property. Please. They need to understand one thing: That Robsten is not even confirmed yet and we girls can dream on about doing Robert Pattinson any day!
Erica

Dear R.Pattz Real Estate:
Hon, can you blame them?

Dear Ted:
Is Kate Winslet on the Walk of Fame? Does she have a star? She should! If she doesn't, will she ever get one...soon?
Ygedik

Dear Walkin' on Winslet:
No, and lovely Kate didn't make the list for the 2010 inductees, either. Such a shame. Maybe in 2011? Damn well should.

Dear Ted:
Have you ever felt the pressure for all of your Rob and Kristen daily dose? It seems like Nikki Reed leeched on to your blogboard to bash our R-K shipper quite often. Did you notice that?
Nurrb

Dear Feeling the Heat:
There's definitely some pressure, but nothing a good gossip can't handle.

Dear Ted:
I just wanted to make a comment that will be noticed by the others so I figured emailing you would be the best way. I want to defend you and A.T. when it comes to Robsten. Never have you said that they were getting married or engaged. At the age that they are at (23 and 19) being absolutely devoted has no connection to tying the knot! They're not Mormon! As well, they're not stupid.
Ewchan

Dear White Knight:
Here, here!

Dear Ted:
Today you made me just sad. You've been taking us down an engagement road with R and K for how long now? And today you contradict yourself. Sorry, but you gave it away with the crazy B-day party. The regs will back off the E-M talk if it will keep the bashers on a more even keel. We want Stewie Ransom to be happy.
Jdshks28

Dear Crossing Signals:
I never once said they were down the engagement/marriage path. Read the letter above! But have I hinted at other secret controversies? Oh yeah.

Dear Ted:
If there were more Butch Casablancas and fewer Perez Hiltons, the world would be a better place. Cat allergies be damned, I'm experiencing a tickle in my throat and watery eyes. Beautiful tribute, Ted.
Ann

Dear Preacher:
Thank you much.

Dear Ted:
I am so sorry about the loss of your beloved cat. My heart aches for you. I am sorry to combine two unrelated topics in one email, but I have news for you: Chris Brown did not receive any special favors from where I sit (Bronx, N.Y.). My daughter and I spent over a year in a domestic violence shelter and the system is broken! I got no help, turned out on the street with nowhere to go and no legal assistance, but not allowed to leave the state because of my daughter's father's rights to visitation. I called 911 tonight because he was in my house and told me he would murder me in front of our 3-year-old, and when the cops showed up they asked me what I expected them to do. He had fled and will kill me one day because I have nowhere to go, but people will only say I asked for it. Please do not be too hard on Rihanna. There is nowhere to turn.
L.H.

Dear Lisa:
Your story is definitely not something to just brush off. Please go get some help out of your situation! Call the National Domestic Violence Hotline (1-800-799-SAFE) or the Domestic Violence Shelter Tour (1-800-621-HOPE), or Google for an abuse crisis center near you. Who cares about Chris Brown?

Dear Ted:
I love your Blind Vices, and your further clues—without them, B.V.s would be a lost cause most of the time! But Emma Uh-Oh is just so hard! Could she be Autumn Reeser? And if not, has she ever worked with Mischa Barton? Hope you can answer! Kisses!
Shamavm

Dear Reeser Teaser:
Autumn she is not! Think sexier, blonder.
