That's why it's so refreshing to see Beyoncé rocking a casual, sport style look at a recent Brooklyn Nets game. Yes, she's holding a glass of what appears to be champange, and her husband owns a good portion of the team, but Queen Bey recognizes that men are sweating in gym shorts five feet from her face. A mini skirt and sky high heels are not okay.
So what makes this combo quite so successful? Let's break it down:
1. Informal footwear - Casual black boots start things off on the right foot. Of course they're patten leather—this is still Sasha Fierce we're talking about—but the soles are rubber and the heels are square.
2. Dark denim - It appears to be a booty hugging style, but knowing the "Drunk In Love" singer, these puppies could be full-on leather and totally see-through.
3. Loose-fit flannel - We spy a graphic t-shirt underneath, for some added warmth, but it's the cozy top that makes this combo work.
4. A super cute hat - Mrs. Carter may know to tone the drama down in the name of athletics, but she's still a fashion-loving female at heart, or in this case, head.
So take note ladies of Los Angeles. This is how you should be dressing for those Laker games, even if the crazy lighting makes it feel more like a night club.
