We thought the MTV Video Music Awards were supposed to be fashion's most original night out, and yet it looks like Katy Perry just recycled Coco Rocha's Met Ball look!
Word to the wise, Katy. If you're going to copy a world-class supermodel, don't pick the most memorable dress she's every worn! We admit that this leopard-covered Emanuel Ungaro is a better fit for the music vs. museum crowd, but once it's out there, it's out there, especially when it's this crazy a couture.
Aside from very blunt bangs, the only thing that separates these two styles is the length. The "Roar" singer chose a slightly shorter version of the slinky design giving more attention to her surprisingly simple black sandals. Coco went for the full-coverage approach and paired her gown with an edgier ankle boot.
We don't love anything about this look, which is why we're shocked to say that we prefer Coco's more dramatic take. Something about less length against those giant shoulders isn't working on Katy. What's your say?
