TMZ reported that Jesse James' alleged second mistress Melissa Smith sent an apology letter to Sandra Bullock via her agent's office…and via fax. The letter supposedly claimed that Smith was sorry for "everything" that Bullock has been through and said that she knows nothing she can say in the letter is "going to make the pain of my actions go away."

Since the letter can't help, perhaps she shouldn't have written it in the first place.

I've had some pretty embarrassing letters sent to my agent…some of them hate mail, and most of them from my father, but this letter takes the cake. I think Sandra is embarrassed enough without having one of her husband's dirty mistresses faxing letters to her agent.

The fact that Smith couldn't figure out this could be emailed and even has access to a fax machine means that she A) lives in 1997, or B) works at Kinkos. Either way, it's not great.
