We know Sofía Vergara has been flirting with the winged eye lately, but we're ready for her to take the plunge and go big drama. If the sexy Modern Family star rocked this retro winged eye created with liquid black eyeliner, she would look like the second coming of Sophia Loren.
Jennifer Lawrence may be a Dior girl, but it doesn't mean she can't inspire the competition. All the Oscar de la Renta models wore short wigs down the runway, which looked to us to be a clear homage to the American Hustle actress and other recently cropped stars like Charlize Theron and Jennifer Hudson.
All the Donna Karan Collection models needed were some bedazzled hair pins and they would be exact replicas of Rihanna from the 2013 American Music Awards.
We think Donna Karan must have been watching the Grammys red carpet and been inspired by Taylor Swift's cool metallic smoky eye. The models wore a little darker more silvery version of Swifty's ice blue makeup look from Grammy night.
It's like this steely smoky eye was custom made for K.Stew! Though, if she did try this look we hope she would ignore the boring nude lip on the models and add a just-bitten sheer rosy lip stain to her pucker.
Since Katy Perry proved that she knows how to rock a dramatic bun at the Grammys we think she should take this look a step further with the intricate twisted beehive chignon we saw at Carolina Herrera.
It looks like designer Thom Browne was not so subtle when it came to paying homage to Lorde's creepy black dip-dyed fingertips she wore during her performance at the Grammys. We're certainly hoping dirty fingers don't become a big trend!
We all know Jennifer Hudson loves to rock a black winged eye, but we want her to turn it up a notch and add a metallic gold liquid or cream eyeshadow above the eyeliner like we saw at Badgley Mischka. Not only would the gold shadow look stunning against the songstress's skin, it would give her winged eye a fun retro feel.
Let's face it: Avril Lavigne has perfected the "I slept in my black smoky eye" makeup look. Peter Som must have had the songstress in mind when he gave his models a glossy version of Avril's messy smoky eye.
This look just screams Selena Gomez, who is no stranger to a fun braid or statement lip. The French braid sweeping across the forehead gives this look a modern feel and the plum lip created by Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Amore and Stila Lip and Cheek Stain in Pomegranate Crush would perfectly complement the pop star's skin tone and chestnut tresses.
We think the smoky eye created from blue and violet eyeliner seen at the Jill Stuart show would be a perfect match for Amanda Seyfried's gorgeous peepers.
We know Beyoncé isn't afraid to take risks when it comes to over-the-top makeup, especially metallic smoky eyes. So we think Queen Bey should break all the conventional makeup rules and pair a greenish blue smoky eye with a matte red lip like what we saw on the models at Anna Sui.
