But that certainly wasn't a bad thing...
Forrest Gump, Silence of the Lambs, Bambi to Be Preserved in National Film Registry
Life is like a box of chocolates—you never know what you're gonna get. And some movies are like a fine wine fava beans and a nice chianti—they stand the test of time.
That's the case at least for 1994's Forrest Gump, 1942's Bambi and 1991's The Silence of the Lambs, which are among 25 cinematic classics the Library of Congress has tapped for inclusion this year in the National Film Registry.
Twin Towers Burn in Gut-Wrenching Trailer for Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock's Extremely Loud
Yes, when a movie is rooted in the tragic events of 9/11, it's destined to be emotional. So, not surprisingly, this new trailer for the upcoming film Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close may be a bit hard to watch at times, but it's also very uplifting.
Based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Jonathan Safran Foer, it centers on a 9-year-old boy named Oskar (Jeopardy! winner Thomas Horn) as he deals with the loss of his father (Tom Hanks) at the Twin Towers. When he discovers a key that belonged to his Dad, Oskar embarks on an offbeat quest for information as to what it unlocks.
Sandra Bullock, appearing in her first role since taking home an Academy Award for The Blind Side, plays Oskar's mom. The moving drama, directed by Stephen Daldry (Billy Elliot, The Hours) also stars Viola Davis, James Gandolfini and Max von Sydow.
So, take a look. Although, you may want to grab a hankie first. Or two.
Who Tops the Charts as Hollywood's Richest Actor?
In Hollywood, you always have to expect the unexpected.
An A-list celebrity could become a nobody in a year, and that nobody from a year ago could be the coolest thing since sliced bread now (funny how that works). But the guys who stick around and make a name for themselves rack in some major millions.
Forbes has released their list of the five highest-paid actors in the past year. Can you guess who made the cut?
UPDATE!

As for who's the queen of the Fourth?
Well, it ain't Selena Gomez.
Movie Review: Tom Hanks & Julia Roberts' Adult-Ed Romance Larry Crowne Barely Passable
Review in a Hurry: Not the head of the class. Tom Hanks plays the titular middle-aged college student who's hot for his burned-out teacher (Julia Roberts). Mildly amusing Larry gets a pass because of its likable leads but earns low marks for the flimsy plot and undercooked romance.

Tom Hanks and Cameron Diaz: Enough With the Crazy Stunts!
Dishing about "Man-Spanx?!" Dancing during the weather forecast?! Pulling out Jon Stewart's stitches?! Drinking water out of a British adventurer's dirty sock?!
Tom Hanks and Cameron Diaz, you should be ashamed.
You're both making spectacles of yourself!
Tom Hanks Explains Why Julia Roberts Is the Perfect Party Girl
Don't let that innocent smile and her new knitting hobby fool you. We hear Julia Roberts is quite the party animal. According to Tom Hanks, that is.
Hanks let us in on that secret, and more, when we sat down recently with both Oscar-winning stars of the upcoming dramedy Larry Crowne.
So, why exactly did Hanks think the Eat, Pray, Love actress was the perfect fit to play alcoholic school teacher, Mercedes Tainot?
