Britney Spears Will Get Record $15 Million Payday to Be X Factor Judge

Britney Spears and Simon Cowell are about to become TV's next power couple. The pop princess is thisclose to signing a big-bucks deal to become a judge on X Factor, multiple sources have exclusively confirmed to E! News.
After weeks of heavy negotiating, Britney's team has finally agreed to a $15 million fee for the role. "Both camps were back and forth on the money but now they have finally come to agreement on the fee," says one insider with intimate knowledge of the pending deal. "That was the big sticking point and now, thankfully, it's been sorted. All they need to do now is work out the smaller points. The fact the money is now set, means that there is nothing stopping this from becoming a reality."
And this will be a package deal: coming along for the ride with Britney is fiancé Jason Trawick.

An American band claiming to be the original One Direction has sued Sony Music and Simon Cowell's record label, Syco Entertainment, for $1 million, charging that the Cowell-connected group is confusing its fans and ruining the credibility the group built on these shores since getting together a couple years ago.
Apparently the idea that more than 110,000 people may have watched the video for its song "2012" by mistake while searching for one of the British and Irish boyband's hits hasn't sat well with the California-based quintet, which is demanding that the lads change their name.

At this point, if everyone who had been rumored to be joining The X Factor judging panel was actually joining The X Factor judging panel, then Simon Cowell's revamped reality show would be the most star-studded series in the history of television.
But hey, eventually one of these A-list names is going to stick, and if the latest round of breathless reports are to be believed, then the caustic Brit has found his new panelmate in Rihanna.
Though everyone from Fergie to Britney Spears to Janet Jackson to LeAnn Rimes has been rumored at some point to be pulling up a chair next to Cowell and L.A. Reid, reports pegging RiRi as the chosen one reached a fever pitch this week.
