Last week, the 65-year-old singer was hospitalized due to a serious respiratory infection and forced to cancel a week's worth of shows. Fortunately, though, his partner, David Furnish, has told the BBC John is "doing incredibly well and recovering."

Elton John Hospitalized Due to Serious Respiratory Infection, Forced to Cancel Shows
The Rocket Man has been temporarily grounded.
Elton John developed a serious respiratory infection last weekend, but his condition only worsened, resulting in the 65-year-old singer's hospitalization on Wednesday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
After several extensive tests, the music icon's doctors recommended that John not perform for approximately seven days and simply rest and undergo antibiotic treatment.

Even rockers need to rest sometimes. 3 Doors Down guitarist Matt Roberts is leaving the band "to focus on his health," according to the band's website.
Roberts, who is one of the band's three founding members, has spent nearly 20 years with the group and sold over 20 million albums worldwide.
"3 Doors Down will always have a special place in my heart and it saddens me to take this time off," he said in a statement. "But my health has to be my first priority."
Ray J Released From Hospital Following Blood Clot Worries
Ray J is back home in Los Angeles after being released from a Las Vegas-area hospital on Tuesday.
The singer initially checked into the unnamed medical facility earlier in the week for exhaustion and jet lag, but a rep for the artist tells E! News that he was given a clean bill of health "following an extensive battery of tests to make sure that he did not have a blood clot in his lungs which is potentially a deadly condition that can occur following a long-haul plane flight."

After clarifying to E! News just yesterday that she was fine and not rushed to the hospital after fainting during porn expo Exxxotica Expo in Miami, WWF star Chyna (Joan Marie Laurer) wasn't in any better condition today, and fainted for the third time in 24 hours.
An Exxxotica Expo rep confirms to E! news that "she collapsed and was taken to a hospital."
The source tells E! News that Chyna is believed to be getting treatment from doctors for dehydration.
