Russell Crowe Tweets About "Bulls--t" Oscar Snubs for Ryan Gosling and Albert Brooks

If there's one thing we know about Russell Crowe, it's that you don't want to piss him off.

Turns out that the volatile Oscar winner, who's been known to use phones as weapons of mass destruction, was a big fan of Drive, and he's none too happy that its two acclaimed stars, Ryan Gosling and Albert Brooks, were passed over for Oscar noms on Tuesday.

Crowe hit up Twitter yesterday to rant about the snubs and give the Academy a piece of this mind.

So what did he say?

"Ryan Gosling didn't get an Academy nomination? There's some bulls--t right there," Crowe wrote.

A few minutes later, he followed that up with: "Albert Brooks you were excellent in Drive. Excellent."

We're betting Brooks wouldn't argue with that. After the nominations were announced, Brooks himself joked about the snub on his Twitter feed. "I got ROBBED. I don't mean the Oscars, I mean literally. My pants and shoes have been stolen," he wrote.

Brooks then lobbed this zinger: "And to the Academy: "You don't like me. You really don't like me."

Maybe Brooks should invite Crowe to the next Oscar-snub "party" he has with Patton Oswalt and Andy Serkis.
