Prince Harry Storms the Capital! Royal Accepts Award in D.C. for His and Prince William's Good Works
Costume balls in New York are nice, but the royal action was at the Ritz Carlton in Washington, D.C.
On behalf of himself and brother Prince William, Prince Harry accepted the 2012 Award for Distinguished Humanitarian Leadership from presenter Colin Powell tonight at a black-tie gala attended by celebrities of the more buttoned-up variety, like United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
The royal siblings received the honor from the Atlantic Council, a Washington-based think tank, for their work with military-aid charities in the U.K., including Walking With the Wounded and Help for Heroes.
Which brings us to Harry's garden party earlier in the day...

How Did Prince Harry Celebrate Will and Kate's Anniversary?
Yesterday, Prince William and Kate Middleton celebrated 365 days of royally wedded bliss. And they did so quietly, privately and away from the prying eye of the paparazzi.
Well, someone had to pick up their slack.
Luckily for us, Prince Harry exhibited no such camera shyness. So what did he get up to on Will and Kate's special day? What a difference a year makes...
Prince William and Kate Middleton's "Low-Key" One-Year Wedding Anniversary Celebration
A year ago today, the world tuned in to watch a stunning Kate Middleton say "I do" to Prince William in a lavish ceremony at the famed Westminster Abbey.
Over the course of the year, the gorgeous pair has accomplished many milestones together, and they certainly deserve to celebrate 365 days of royally-wedded bliss.
So, how are the duke and duchess spending the day together in a follow-up to the fairy-tale wedding of the century?
Happy Paper Anniversary, Will and Kate! And What a Year It's Been
A year ago today, Americans—or, OK, seriously Anglophilic Americans—woke up at an obscenely early hour to catch the wedding of the century. (Remember: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt aren't married yet.) The groom wore his honorary Irish Guards uniform. The bride wore Sarah Burton lace and the glow reserved for a woman about to become a princess:
Prince William and Kate Middleton's One-Year Anniversary: How Are They Celebrating?
Should we be preparing for another royal wedding-esque extravaganza this weekend?
On Sunday, Prince William and Kate Middleton will be celebrating their first wedding anniversary (can you believe it's already been a whole year?!), and we're guessing there's gonna be some huge event taking place.
So cue the trumpets, shut down the streets and bring out your craziest most exquisite hats because it's (royally) going down...again!
Right?!

Attention, Kate Middleton: Prince William Gets a Baby!
Prince William looked pretty impressive rehearsing for royal daddy duty today.
The dashing 29-year-old along with the mother of his future children, Kate Middleton, were at a reception in London to honor British soldiers who recreated a 1912 sled race to the South Pole to raise money for injured members of the nation's armed forces—but it was this wee trouper who stole the show.
Both Will and Kate fawned over little Hugo, whom the prince called "sweet."
Not that they forgot about the real reason they were there or anything!
Prince William and Kate Middleton Honor South Pole Trekkers Ahead of Anniversary Celebration
The ray of sunshine that is Kate Middleton was no doubt a welcome sight this morning for a group of soldiers who earlier this year braved the elements by re-creating an expedition to the South Pole.
Kate and Prince William, in their second public event in as many days and just ahead of their own presumptively quiet weekend anniversary plans, turned up for a royal reception in London this morning honoring the men who completed the epic challenge back in January.
As for the connection to the couple, the grueling fundraising adventure benefited the Royal British Legion, of which the duke is a patron—a backing for which the Legion was understandably chuffed.
