Grey's Anatomy Star Kim Raver: Having Kids Made Me Greener

Actress gets heated over eco-friendly pet peeves: "I try to calm myself down"

Grey's Anatomy star Kim Raver is just one of the many celebs jumping on the eco-friendly bandwagon.

In fact, Raver says she gets so passionate about being green that she even has to calm herself down before she gets herself into trouble...

"You try to be kind of not in their face," she recently told us of spreading the eco-love to others. "I think the best thing to do is kind of educate, and you can educate by doing...I do have a couple pet peeves, like when I see someone's car idling and they're just waiting for someone gets me crazy!"

She added, "I'll get into a really heated discussion like, 'Don't you know?' And then I try to calm myself down."

So what drove the on-screen doc to be so passionate about saving our planet?

"I had my kids and I had a much better perspective of wanting to take care of our future generations," the mom of two explained. "It started with recycling, and also wanting to use products in the house that were good for them and good for the environment."
