Watch Julianne Hough Kick Up Her Feet in New Footloose Trailer

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Obviously, that was the thinking of everyone involved with this remake (out Oct. 14) of the 1984 classic flick Footloose.

In fact, there are so many things here that remind us of the original, you almost can't help but wonder, why did they even redo it in the first place? Of course, had they gone and severely altered what came before, well, it would have been sheer sacrilege.

That all being said, though, what we do end up with here looks to be a lot of fun. Julianne Hough, as the preacher's daughter, actually appears to be a pretty good actress, and relative newcomer Kenny Wormald seems to fill Kevin Bacon's dancing shoes rather nicely.

Oh, and did we mention, fun? Who doesn't like dancing?

Morning Bitch-Back! No Love for Woody in The Hunger Games?

Woody Harrelson John Sciulli/Getty Images
More from The Awful Truth

Dear Ted:
Woody Harrelson
for Haymitch?! Woody?! I just cannot see him in that role at all! Personally, I love Gerard Butler for the part. I was even OK with John C. Reilly, but Woody? I sure hope not! I do however love Wes Bentley for Seneca Crane. He is looking very well after all the turmoil after the American Beauty success. Think this could prove to be a comeback for that sexy man?
—H

Dear On-Off Target:
Most definitely, because The Hunger Games is going to be a huge platform for all actors involved—regardless of their professional needs (or not). Also, get a little love in your hear for taking Haymitch outta the ordinary with a crazy dude like Harrelson. Know how we've also been saying Robert Downey Jr. wouldn't be so bad for the part? Well, there's not that much distance between a Downey Jr. and a Harrelson.

Dear Ted:
First, love the idea of morning and afternoon Bitch-Backs! Hope that continues! As to Shellack Attack, is she primarily know for her musical or thespian talents?

Bitch-Back! Is Robert Pattinson Playing Up His Modesty?

Water for Elephants, Robert Pattinson 20th Century Fox
More from The Awful Truth

Dear Ted:
Is Robert Pattinson really what he makes himself out to be? I don't care who he sleeps with or if he does any questionable activities, but I'm more interested if he really is a sweet guy that is still humble and pleasant, or if he acts arrogant and stuck up? Is he really insecure and self-deprecating, or is that all an act?
—watergurl1789

Dear Arrogant Edward:
If any half of the Robsten duo is humble, pleasant and outright super sweet it's definitely Rob. Well, at least from all the promotional interviews he has been doing for Water for Elephants lately. And judging by our own time when we've met him. Don't shoot, Krisbians, Kristen is amazing in her own right, but Rob just seems more genuine. Definitely not playing up some sweet-guy image, just being himself. Also, don't be quick to label him arrogant. He's just over being a pasty vamp is all.

Dear Ted:
Are Strippa Rip-Ya and Caesar Anchovy Arse Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale?
