Jay-Z is making being a papa to baby Blue Ivy a priority.

In fact, the rap star has revealed he plans to put music on the back burner for a bit in order to focus on fatherhood.

"I thought I would be more inspired to have all these new feelings to talk about, but I really just want to hang out with my daughter," Beyoncé's significant other tells Billboard. "I want to enjoy this time for what it is. I'm sure that bug to get back in the studio will come back at some point."

Of course, such a decision doesn't come as a complete shock, seeing how he recently told CNN, "Fatherhood is fantastic, it's amazing. It's a surreal thing, the joy that someone has at four months old. I know that it gets better."

But Jay-Z isn't completely disappearing from the hip-hop scene. The new dad also announced he will be headlining the two-day "Made in America" music festival over the Labor Day weekend in Philadelphia.
