TV Update: Kyle Chandler Returning to Your TV? Come Back, Coach!
Technically, Kyle Chandler is still on television, as Friday Night Lights will air its final season on NBC starting April 15 (more on that later). But when we heard the news that Coach Taylor was being courted by FX for a new drama pilot, we started the frantic bouncing up and down that we usually save for when free bagels are dropped off in the break room.
So what's the deal with Kyle's maybe return to TV? We'll fill you in; plus, updates on Bones, Betty White and your favorite bicoastal CW staples:
Bitch-Back! Should Mel Gibson Play Haymitch?
Dear Ted:
Regarding Hunger Games casting: I can see Mel Gibson as Haymitch. He'd be able to do the drunken/mad part as well as the later brilliant part.

Dear High-larious:
How funny would that be? With everyone all for Mel making an onscreen comeback, we think casting him as Haymitch in The Hunger Games would be as equally fabulous as devastating. Mel playing the older, more experienced and drunken gamer to Jenifer Lawrence's Katniss would be entertaining to say the least. Time for the haywire Haymitch to come out and play, no?
Dear Ted:
I'm a little shocked you pigeon-holed Hugh Laurie as House. Did you forget The Black Adder, Stuart Little, 101 Dalmatians, Frye & Laurie, etc.? The man more than has the chops for this. Although Brad Pitt is one of those intriguing casting ideas that you know will never happen...but yet!

Check Out the New Wonder Woman!
Everyone's favorite Amazon has been lassoed.
Adrianne Palicki has been tapped to play the red, white and blue costumed superheroine for the pilot of David E. Kelley's NBC reboot of the classic comic, Warner Bros. Television announced Wednesday.
Best known for Friday Night Lights, the actress also appeared in the quickly canceled Lone Star last year and has a role in the Red Dawn remake coming later this year.
Palecki's no stranger to superheroes and strange circumstances, though: She's appeared on Smallville and Supernatural, had a role in the Aquaman TV movie and even did voice work for Robot Chicken''s Star Wars spoofs.
So she's got nerd cred, to be sure.
And considering she nabbed a role that proven hard to cast over the years, Palicki sounds up for any challenge—including finding the controls on an invisible airplane.

Hollywood has been making football movies since the first talkies, but they've rarely given fans a reason to cheer. Still, it is Super Bowl weekend, so we've found a few bright spots in the rocky love affair between football and Hollywood. Here are 10 movies that that don't suck, including a couple that, as they say on the sidelines, might-could play a little ball.

Meet Your New TV Crush: True Blood and Friday Night Lights' Grey Damon
True Blood is back tonight!
