Week in Review: Emmys Shock, Ashton and Charlie Both Tickle, Chaz Delights on DWTS
FRIDAY NIGHT HEIGHTS: After living out its final two seasons as a DirecTV charity case, Friday Night Lights managed a Dillon Lions-style upset when Kyle Chandler topped all the usual suspects for best actor in a drama at the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards. The 2011 Emmys, from Mad Men and Modern Family's repeat wins to Charlie Sheen's uncharacteristically tame presence, didn't offer much in the way of viral moments, but worthwhile host Jane Lynch and wins for Melissa McCarthy, Peter Dinklage, Margo Martindale and Jon Stewart (albeit The Daily Show''s ninth in a row) kept us occupied once the fashion show was over. And cameos by likes of Robert Pattinson at the afterparties kept us on our toes late into the night!
And here's everything that happened after that (plus movie reviews, recaps of your favorite shows, romantic celeb sightings, hookup dish, a pic in which Lindsay Lohan appears to be making out with her mom, and more):

Scott Porter Commits the Ultimate Friday Night Lights Sin; Can You Forgive Him?
Oh, Scott Porter, you were this close to perfection.
What did Mr. Porter do that had us temporarily revoke his license to be perfect? He committed the ultimate offense: He has yet to watch the final episodes of Friday Night Lights. No, we're not kidding. Jason Street, we're very, very disappointed in you.
"I haven't watched the last six," the former No. 6 and QB1 tells our very own Kristin Dos Santos right before she gets up and walks out of the interview. So what's his excuse for putting off the perfection that is the FNL finale?
Glee Casting: Find Out Who's Playing Mercedes' New Love Interest
In news that takes one more step towards making sure that every single person who ever appeared on Friday Night Lights will live on our TVs forever, we can tell you that Amber Riley's love interest has been cast on Glee and he is:
Texas Forever! Friday Night Lights Headed Back to Big Screen
Clear eyes, full hearts, big screen!
To say the Friday Night Lights series finale made all of us here at Watch With Kristin cry is an understatement (we have the snot-covered shirt sleeves to prove it). Eric (Kyle Chandler) and Tami's (Connie Britton) bittersweet send-off left us sobbing and smiling, wishing this wasn't goodbye forever.
Lucky for us, it might not be! We caught up with executive producer Peter Berg at NBC's TCA press tour, where he was promoting his new drama Prime Suspect, and we just had to get the scoop on Friday Night Lights big-screen dreams.

Team Brian or Team Alek? Grey Damon Helps Us Dissect Love Triangle On Nine Loves of Chloe King
If you didn't fall in love with our TV crush Grey Damon back when he was on Friday Night Lights, then hopefully you've been tracking him on his new show, The Nine Lives of Chloe King on ABC Family.
However, if you still haven't jumped on the Grey train, now is the perfect time! First of all, just look at that face. Easy on the eyes, right? Second, we had a nice chat with him about playing good guy Brian on Nine Lives, and how happy he was to see FNL get the Emmy love it so deserves. Plus, is Grey Team Brian or Team Alek? His answer may surprise you…
How Is Friday Night Light's Connie Britton Connected to Glee?
Squeee! Connie Britton's in the house!
Our favorite TV mom hit Chelsea Lately Thursday night. The Emmy nominee dished to Chelsea Handler on the FNL coming to an end (sniffle), her new project with the creator of Glee (say what?) and her charity work (awwww).
Hit the clip for all the Tami Taylor greatness.

Tim Riggins Alert! Check Out a Deleted Scene From the Final Season of Friday Night Lights
By showing you all this deleted scene, it's like finally admitting that Friday Night Lights is over. And yet, since it involves Taylor Kitsch in a ponytail, we can't not share the clip!
Friday Night Lights: The Fifth and Final Season releases on DVD today, and in addition to every incredible episode from the final season, it also includes a featurette that takes a look back at the past five seasons. It's a must-have for every FNL fan, and if it doesn't make you all misty-eyed, then we're not sure what will.
TV Update: Kyle Chandler Returning to Your TV? Come Back, Coach!
Technically, Kyle Chandler is still on television, as Friday Night Lights will air its final season on NBC starting April 15 (more on that later). But when we heard the news that Coach Taylor was being courted by FX for a new drama pilot, we started the frantic bouncing up and down that we usually save for when free bagels are dropped off in the break room.
So what's the deal with Kyle's maybe return to TV? We'll fill you in; plus, updates on Bones, Betty White and your favorite bicoastal CW staples:
Bitch-Back! Should Mel Gibson Play Haymitch?
Dear Ted:
Regarding Hunger Games casting: I can see Mel Gibson as Haymitch. He'd be able to do the drunken/mad part as well as the later brilliant part.

Dear High-larious:
How funny would that be? With everyone all for Mel making an onscreen comeback, we think casting him as Haymitch in The Hunger Games would be as equally fabulous as devastating. Mel playing the older, more experienced and drunken gamer to Jenifer Lawrence's Katniss would be entertaining to say the least. Time for the haywire Haymitch to come out and play, no?
Dear Ted:
I'm a little shocked you pigeon-holed Hugh Laurie as House. Did you forget The Black Adder, Stuart Little, 101 Dalmatians, Frye & Laurie, etc.? The man more than has the chops for this. Although Brad Pitt is one of those intriguing casting ideas that you know will never happen...but yet!
