Bad Timing Alert! Grieving Beastie Boys Sued Over Licensed to Ill, Paul's Boutique Tunes

Well, this is awkward.
The Beastie Boys—the surviving two of whom are mourning the death of Adam "MCA" Yauch—were sued the day before Yauch's death last week from cancer by a hip-hop label that claims the group wrongfully sampled a couple of songs from its catalog.
But at least the plaintiff, TufAmerica, is aware of its rather inauspicious timing.

On the eve of the Kentucky Derby, Miranda Lambert put her pseudo-beef with Ashton Kutcher aside, posing with him at the Barnstable Brown Party in Louisville Friday with a big smile on her face.

Anderson Cooper last night proved that he's more than just a pretty face, silver fox, unabashedly hysterical urine-pun aficionado and, yes, vaunted newsman, debuting an all new side to himself on the airwaves of AC 360: namely, masterful deliverer of the sarcastic remark.
The subject of his scorn was none other than fellow pundit Rush Limbaugh, who earlier this week went on the attack against the CNN anchor, accusing him of spending more time in the gym than the studio.
Turns out, Cooper gives as good as he gets.

In his attempt to avenge the less-than-rave review the New York Times gave The Avengers, Samuel L. Jackson may have just made a hero of A.O. Scott.
"#Avengers fans,NY Times critic AO Scott needs a new job! Let's help him find one! One he can ACTUALLY do!" tweeted Jackson in response to Scott's sarcasm-laced review, which included the observation that Jackson's Nick Fury "is more master of ceremonies than mission commander."
But instead of getting fans to pile on Scott, the veteran critic found out who his friends were—and he exclusively told E! News how "touched" he was by the response.

No, Charlie Sheen did not intend for this to be part of his legacy.
In fact, upon hearing that Cheetahs Gentlemen's Club in New York City's Times Square had opened a "Charlie Sheen VIP Room" on its premises, the star got his attorney on the case, ASAP.
But that didn't stop the club from planning a party so that the media could get a look at the "Art of Body Sushi" being served in the room named after the Anger Management star, he of last year's infamous sex-and-drugs-fueled meltdown.

The "Sinners Like Me" crooner is apologizing to Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert for some highly critical comments he made in an interview with Rolling Stone when he ripped his fellow country stars for their participation in reality TV, most notably Shelton's stint as a mentor on NBC's The Voice.

According to Us Weekly, the Jersey Shore starlet and mom-to-be recently slammed Jessica Simpson's pregnancy weight gain. Snooki, 24, allegedly told reporters she "would die if she were her size" and said that while Simpson "[indulges] in everything she [wants]," she's making a point to eat healthily.

Meghan McCain isn't happy that Greta Van Susteren invited Lindsay Lohan to this weekend's White House Correspondents' Dinner.
McCain, whose father is former presidential hopeful John McCain, apparently has some issues with Lohan's checkered past and Van Susteren's willingness to flippantly overlook it. And naturally, she took to Twitter to voice her frustration.
