First Look: Same Name Gets David Hasselhoff Mowing the Lawn
Did you know David Hasselhoff is a high-voltage power technician and landscaper from Texas?
Yeah, seriously!
But then there's also the other David Hasselhoff, who we all know from watching hit shows like Baywatch and Knight Rider.
Yup, two guys with the exact same name, who just so happen to be appearing in a new CBS show called...er...Same Name.

So you gotta hope that the talent is sexy and fun, or you're plumb out of luck. Thankfully, this year, the talented included geek goddess Kat Dennings and one of our favorite interviewees evar, the great and terrible (terrible is a compliment in this case, people) Michael Emerson.

Who's winning today?
Charlie Sheen thought he was irreplaceable, but CBS took great pains at the 2011 upfront presentation to prove otherwise. He was absent from any and all promotional materials for Two and a Half Men (including a clip reel) and never mentioned by name. Instead, the network welcomed Ashton Kutcher to the stage in the company of the original one-and-a-half men, Jon Cryer and TV son Angus T. Jones.
So what did Ashton Kutcher and Jon Cryer say to the assembled advertisers when CBS "let them talk," as Kutcher put it?

CBS nearly lost megahit comedy Two and a Half Men this year, thanks to living catastrophe Charlie Sheen, but Eye chief Nina Tassler just told reporters that despite the drama the network always counted on the continuation of the series, one way or another. (Still, CBS überboss Les Moonves noted about the recent Sheen-anigans, "I've been chased from every restaurant in Los Angeles in the last two months, avoiding questions.")
So why is CBS shaking up their Tuesday and Thursday schedules? What got canceled? And how exactly will Chuck Lorre kill off Charlie Harper so that he can be replaced by the new Ashton Kutcher character? Here's what we can tell you:

Just weeks after a rep for Katie Couric informed the world that the anchor was more than ready to leave her post at the CBS Evening News, along comes Couric herself with a formal statement that she is indeed vacating the house Edward R. Murrow built.
What's Got the Cast of Happy Days So Damn Sad?

Sunday and Monday might be happy days, but turns out Tuesday is a sue-happy day.
Four members of the iconic Happy Days cast along with the estate of the late Tom Bosley are suing CBS, claiming their famous mugs have been slapped on everything from games to cards to T-shirts to, yes, slot machines without any of them seeing a dime.
"CBS has adopted a don't ask, don't pay policy," their lawyer, Jon Pfeiffer, tells E! News. "If you don't ask, we don't pay."

Katie Couric is likely leaving her chair at the CBS Evening News just shy of her five-year anniversary of becoming the first solo network evening news anchor, her rep confirms to E! News.
