I was wondering your opinion on the subject of Jon Hamm vs. Kim Kardashian? The problem is not who is the person, the problem is what you say about that person and how you talk about her. If Mr. Hamm were a school child, he would be punished for calling a classmate "stupid," because after all, that word opens spaces to greater aggression. In fact, the United Nations in its campaign, "End Violence Against Women," has clearly established that psychological and verbal violence is the first step to other types of violence. In my opinion: nobody has the right to denigrate another person to think or do different things.

I think you just came up with Kim Kardashian's most promising returning salvo. Both Kim and Jon have said plenty so far. Actually, let me rephrase that: I think Jon has said plenty so far. Kim's obviously saving the best for last, don't worry, it will come—and then both Kim and Jon get what they've both wanted all along—to be right (and even more famous). For the record, I think Jon's being too hard on Kim, who never pretended to be anything she's not. And I do not say that just because I also work at E!, I say it because I think there should be many different types of fame and Hamm's being far too exacting on what constitutes celebrity.

Brittany Murphy's Dad Not Satisfied by Cause of Death, Wants a Do-Over

It appears that neither of Brittany Murphy's parents is living in peace.
Saying he's not satisfied with their conclusions as to how his daughter died in December 2009, the late star's father has filed a complaint with the LAPD and L.A. County Department of Coroner to obtain biological samples taken from his daughter's body so that they can be retested.

Sharon Murphy is suing her former attorneys for malpractice, claiming they steered her wrong when they advised her to settle a claim concerning the condition of the home Brittany died in, rather than consider the possibility of filing a wrongful death suit.

In memory of what would have been Brittany Murphy's 33rd birthday today, the late star's mom has announced that she'll be penning a bio about her daughter.
"This book will be my way of celebrating and honoring her extraordinary life and career," Sharon Murphy said in a statement sent to E! News. "Brittany was a kind, loving person who enjoyed each day, she was my life."

Simon Monjack's cause of death is turning out to be even more similar to wife Brittany Murphy's passing than it first appeared to be.
While last month preliminary findings determined the 40-year-old succumbed to acute pneumonia and severe anemia, the Los Angeles County Coroner released its complete autopsy report today.

New questions have been raised in the wake of Monjack's death over his handling of Murphy's finances in the short time between their passing: the actress' former business manager claims Monjack drained the Clueless star's bank account and shut out her extremely close mother, Sharon, leaving the matriarch virtually penniless.
And for the defense: Monjack's mother adamantly denies the claims.

Were Brittany Murphy and Simon Monjack clueless about toxic mold growing within their midst?
The late actress' mother, Sharon Murphy, is shooting down a TMZ report that dangerous spores from a leak in their Hollywood home may have been partly to blame in her daughter and son-in-law's sudden deaths.
"I have never been personally asked by the Coroner or anyone from the Health Department to come and inspect my home for mold," said the elder Murphy, who resided with the couple. "In the last eight months, I have been through the most unimaginable events, which no one could ever fathom. I have and will continue to be very cooperative and fully comply with any such request. It's absurd that this kind of misinformation is being reported by the media."
