American Idol Alum Jason Castro Is a New Dad!

If not exactly over the rainbow, Jason Castro must at least be over the moon.
The American Idol finalist and his wife Mandy welcomed their first child together Sunday, daughter Madeline Emilia Castro.
Now that is a name not even Simon Cowell could quibble with, right?
Castro more or less confirmed the news himself by tweeting a photo of little Madeline, with the caption "Daddy's girl."
His wife filled in the blanks on her own Twitter, posting another photo captioned, "My beautiful baby girl, Madeline Emilia Castro."
The couple, who tied the knot in January 2010, had a few months to consider what to name their new addition.
"We just found out yesterday that it is going to be a girl!" Castro wrote in April. "That makes me laugh … what am I going to do with a sweet little girl?! Probably just smile a lot … I cannot wait!!!"
Happily, the wait is over.
