American Idol Backstage Scoop: Who Was Scared to Death?!
Naming season 11's American Idol winner is now in the hands of voters, and it's virtually impossible to say who is going to be showered in confetti at the grand finale on Wednesday night.
Three months of singing in the spotlight all came down to Tuesday night, where finalists Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips gave standout performances for 7,000 audience members at the Nokia Theatre in hopes of walking away tomorrow as this year's American Idol.
So who was suffering from stage fright and what did the finalists have to say after the show? We got the backstage scoop!
American Idol Recap: Who Was Better, Phillip or Jessica?
Two contestants, six songs, one hour: This is the American Idol performance finale!
Either 16-year-old Jessica Sanchez or 21-year-old Phillip Phillips will be named the winner of the show's 11th season tomorrow night. But first, the pair of fan favorites had one more shot at attracting the majority share of the tens of millions of votes up for grabs.

Backstage at the American Idol Finale: Ryan Seacrest Gives Us the Grand Tour!
This...is how you make American Idol!
Our very own Ryan Seacrest was kind enough to take us on an exclusive tour of Nokia Theater as American Idol prepares for its big two-night finale, and he gave us all kinds of secrets.
For example: Just how early does Ryan find out the results that give us the new Idol? Plus, he sits down with Nigel Lythgoe to talk about the surprises in store for tonight and tomorrow, and the status of the Idol judges...
Miley Cyrus Backs Out of American Idol Performance, Nearly Pops Out of Her Shirt!
Miley Cyrus won't be performing on American Idol's finale Wednesday, but it doesn't look like the 19-year-old is too bummed out about it.
Earlier this week, the former Disney star was all smiles in L.A., running barefoot through a parking lot wearing skinny jeans and a revealing top. She showed off her slim figure in the low-cut shirt (which she wore without a bra!) and grabbed at the sides of her top to prevent a wardrobe malfunction.

Another wonky week is behind us.

Jennifer Lopez Quitting Idol: "I Don't Think That's True," Says Nigel Lythgoe—but Does He Have Backup Plan?
Is Jennifer Lopez really leaving American Idol?
That's the question on everyone's mind heading into next week's season 11 grand finale, which could very well be Lopez's final appearance on the show as a judge. We just chatted with executive producer Nigel Lythgoe about of Jennifer's possible exit, what it would mean for the show if she did depart and why doing the show is "a major problem for any artist."
Plus, does Nigel already have a replacement in mind for Jennifer?

American Idol Backstage Scoop: Is Jennifer Lopez Leaving? Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson Talk Future of Judges' Panel
There's no elimination on American Idol that sucks as much as the week before the grand finale.
After more than two months of competition, elaborate star treatment and achieving celebrity status overnight, no one wants to be sent home.
Unfortunately, only two could move on and with an amazing Wednesday-night performance from all the contestants, it was impossible to not be disappointed by the cut. So what did the eliminated singer have to say after the show and what did Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler have to say about Jennifer Lopez possibly leaving her judging seat behind? The stars spilled after the show!
American Idol Elimination: Who's Going All the Way?!
After weeks of competition, only two finalists remain on American Idol.
Phillip Phillips, Jessica Sanchez and Joshua Ledet all sung their hearts out last night with a margin of error that was smaller than ever. No one did a bad job, but not every performance was Phillip doing "We've Got Tonight," either.
Steven Tyler helpfully predicted last night that both Jessica and Joshua would win (and that Phillip could be a "new-age Boss," as in Bruce Springsteen), and the judges liked most everything to the nth degree, except for Jessica's take on "I'll Be There," which was "just OK" to Randy Jackson. And was Jimmy Iovine, who never hesitates to diss a song choice, still confident after the fact in the three choices he made for the contestants last night?
But, most importantly, who's competing in next Tuesday's performance finale?
