Alec Baldwin Rallies Twitter to Take On Girlfriend's Alleged Harasser

Alec Baldwin Jesse Grant/WireImage

There's no (invisible) army stronger than a Twitter army, and Alec Baldwin knows that.

Giving a whole new meaning to words with friends, the 30 Rock actor called upon his fellow social media enthusiasts late Tuesday night to tweet an alleged stalker who was sending harassing messages to his girlfriend Hilaria Thomas.

"I have some wonderful, fully engaged and, sometimes critical people that I encounter here," Baldwin wrote, "Some of them, very few in fact, cross a line and, for example, attack my relationship with my daughter. One person, however, has really gone too far."

Morning Mail! Are We Being Unfair to Kirk Cameron?

Kirk Cameron Michael Buckner/Getty Images
More from The Awful Truth

Dear Ted:
Absolutely, positively had to send this message to give you serious respect for your thoughtful post on Kirk Cameron and his ilk today. His comments made me sick to my stomach, but he has the right to speak his mind—his small, ignorant mind. Don't get me started on Rush Limbaugh. He is the ultimate hypocrite in so very many ways, but Kirk at least appears to walk the holier-than-thou path he preaches. Want to make this clear, I am not now—nor will I ever—defend Kirk Cameron and most of the misinformed garbage that comes out of his mouth (and boy is there a lot of it, even before his ridiculous comments about homosexuality). I will, however, defend every person having the right to speak openly and honestly about what they believe. On a completely different note, is it my imagination or does Kirk have a serious case of crazy eyes? Just an observation.
—Wanda

Dear All Is Fair…:
We hear you, and you're absolutely correct in saying everyone is entitled to their own opinion, even myopic, un-Christian men such as Cameron and Limbaugh. Small minds and hateful agendas usually go hand in hand. However, according to our poll, many of you think we've been much too harsh on poor Kirk. And perhaps we have. A man like that needs all the sympathy he can get.

Dear Ted:
Question about Ashley Tisdale. She seems to be losing it lately, and she has a penchant for making drunk dirty-dancing videos. She seems to be busy clubbing, posing nude in magazines and hanging out with a different guy every week. Is she trying to shed her teen image, or is she just a late bloomer in the Hollywood fast lane? Thanks Ted!

"You think I have an astute view of politics?" Alec Baldwin asked us backstage after we told the SAG Award winner for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy series exactly that. "That's the funniest thing I've ever heard!"

Well, it's not that funny. The 30 Rock star was at one point considering running for mayor of NYC, after all. Which is why we wanted to know his—yes, astute—opinion on the current state of presidential politics:

Behold the Most Dysfunctional Celebrity Dynasties!

More from The Awful Truth

While sanity undoubtedly runs low in this town, some families certainly have more than others.

And after the whole Griffin O'Neal incident last week, we couldn't help but notice this very tragic family trend. From drug busts, to daddy issues, to depression, the craziness in H'wood only gets worse with these famous fams.

So, as we take a look back at the most dysfunctional dynasties, we're happy to report some have totally turned their luck around. Like Drew Barrymore and Angelina Jolie—both beautiful ladies totally beat the odds, and turned a run-in with dysfunction into a quest for success.

And while there are some still struggling to find their way in Hollyweird, we have faith they can get it together (LiLo, we're talking to you doll).

But hey, Team Truth has hope for all these dazzling dynasties…even if craziness does run in a family's genes.

So check out our gallery below, and let us know who you think packs the most dysfunction into the same family tree!

99 Reasons We Love Hollywood: #72-64!

Rihanna Splash News
More from The Awful Truth

Sure, Hollywood may be magical around the holidays (what with Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin taking over Times Square and whatever Christmas/Hannukah/etc. movie you claim as your fave), but we think Tinseltown is pretty fabulous all year round.

Which is why we're counting down 99 of the reasons we think it's so grand. Like yesterday's batch that featured oh-so-humble and sexy Bradley Cooper, the (mucho-welcomed) invasion of the Royals and Taylor Swift's endless adorableness.

So buckle up and brace yourself for nine more reasons we're still madly in love with Hollywood:
