A girl's gotta have her priorities, right?

In her first interview since tying the knot with Nick Cannon, Mariah Carey appears on Tuesday's Ellen DeGeneres Show to chat up her recent nuptials—and to reveal that when it comes to the biggest day of your life, it's definitely more important to be the lovely one as opposed to being surrounded by a bunch of silly loved ones.

"Mainly it was people there to do my hair and help me with the dress," Mimi tells Ellen about who attended the quickie marriage last month. "And then three of my friends, and he had three people with him, so it wasn't a lot of people."

Meanwhile, Ellen called in this morning to Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM morning show to dish on the diva's exclusive, albeit tardy, appearance...

"She was two hours late for the show. We kind of had to shoot everything out of order, so people danced for a lot longer than they normally dance," said Ellen. "But she showed up and apologized profusely, saying that somebody didn't give her the right time."

Despite the confusion, Ellen pointed out it was well worth the wait: "She was hilarious, and she brought me some nice lingerie for me to put on."

Portia will no doubt be pleased.
