Lifetime wants a piece of Britney Spears.

E! News has confirmed that the cable network is developing an original movie about the princess of pop's life and career, entitled Britney. The two-hour biopic will tell the unauthorized tale of what the network is calling the "tumultuous story" of her rise to fame at a young age, her fall from grace and her eventual triumphant return to the spotlight.

Of course, telling Spears' story means telling the story of plenty of other famous faces, as well. As the movie follows the pop star's early career and early years in Louisiana, it'll also take a look at her relationship with (and eventual breakup from) none other than Justin Timberlake. The film will also look at Spears' failed marriages to childhood friend Jason Alexander (famously annulled after 55 hours) and Kevin Federline (famously documented in the truly tragic reality series Britney and Kevin: Chaotic), before forcing us all to relive those dark days when her life spiraled out of control, placing under her father's conservatorship. You know what that means: A head-shave scene.

"Britney Spears will not be contributing in any way, shape or form to the lifetime biopic nor does it have her blessing," Spears' rep told E! News.

There are so many iconic moments in Spears' career that the movie could probably be 10 hours long and not show us everything, but we've got to have at least one scene with young Britney sharing the Mickey Mouse Club stage with young Christina Aguilera and Ryan Gosling, another with her making out with Madonna at the VMAs, and another of her filming Crossroads with a then-unknown screenwriter by the name of Shonda Rhimes, right? We can't wait to get started dream-casting this thing! E! News has also learned that Britney will heavily feature Spears' parents Jamie and Lynne Spears, whose divorce plays a major role in the pop star's downfall.

One role that's already been filled, per THR, is that of Spears herself. The website reports that Natasha Bassett (Hail, Ceaser) will play the pop star.

Though a source tells E! News that Spears is not at all involved in the project, it's still something of a busy time for Spears. Her Carpool Karaoke segment with James Corden premieres on The Late Late Show on Thursday, Aug. 25, while her new album Glory hits shelves the next day.
