As the days get longer and the beach continues to call your name, many are finding themselves lightening their tresses to highlight and contrast their sunkissed skin—and celebs are no exception.
A number of stars have taken to social media to reveal a drastic change with their 'do, which includes ditching their darker locks for some light hues in an attempt to see if blondes really do have more fun (in the summer).

Shay Mitchell: The Pretty Little Liars actress is one of the most recent celebs to debut the new look, posted a selfie on Instagram yesterday with her co-star and now-fellow blonde Ashley Benson. Mitchell just rocked her raven locks in a blinged-out top knot for the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday, so there's no telling what sparked the decision to make the change, but either way, she's looking great.
Sophie Turner: The famous redhead from Game of Thrones surprised fans on Instagram with a photo of herself rocking some Khaleesi-inspired platinum locks. The dye job definitely accentuates her piercing blue eyes, but that's not what people are focused on. What we really want to know is WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR SANSA?!
Gina Rodriguez: Jane may still be a virgin on the show, but her hair isn't. The Jane the Virgin star revealed that she opted to go lighter a few weeks ago.
Celebrity hair colorist Stacy Heitman tells E! News Rodriguez went to her after shooting in London, "She was in great need of shedding the impression that her most recent on camera character left on her. I gathered that she felt like her hair was weighing her down, so we both agreed we must go lighter!"
Miles Teller: Let's not be sexist here. Guys dye their hair, too, and this actor debuted his lighter 'do when attending the ESPY Awards last month. While it's possible the change is for a movie role, the Twitterverse didn't let that stop them from very blatantly voicing the fact that they hate it. It's OK, Miles. You do you, boo.
Justin Bieber: The singer has often dabbled in different hues, but decided to go back to blond in June. After cutting off his long locks, Bieber debuted the platinum color first on his Justmoji app and then on Instagram.
Allison Williams: This may not be strictly for personal purposes, but the Girls star showed off a platinum 'do when she was spotted taking a dip in the ocean in Malibu alongside John Krasinski and Sacha Baron Cohen. The project is still unknown, but perhaps Williams will decide to keep the blond around even after they're done filming?
