Big Brother is on the move. E! News has confirmed CBS is moving its long-running reality series to CBS All Access, its new streaming platform, for a new season this fall. The current cycle is airing on CBS proper during the summer of 2016.

"Big Brother is an incredible success on the CBS Television Network and has always been ahead of its time when it comes to fan engagement," Marc DeBevoise, president and chief operating officer at CBS Interactive, said in a statement. "Already, the Big Brother Live Feeds are some of the most popular content on CBS All Access and with this new digital edition we will explore ways to reimagine this format for multiplatform audiences."

Of its 18 seasons, 17 of them have aired during the summer. One season aired during midseason when the writer's strike paralyzed the industry in 2008.

CBS is beefing up its All Access offerings. The network currently has Star Trek: Discovery and the unnamed The Good Wife spinoff slated to debut in 2017. Both shows will premiere on the network and then move to CBS All Access. No cast for Bryan Fuller's Star Trek has been announced yet. Christine Baranski and Cush Jumbo will star in The Good Wife spinoff.

Fans can already watch the Big Brother live feeds on CBS All Access. The feeds give viewers the ability to check in on the contestants between episodes.

A premiere date will be announced at a later date.

Julie Chen has been hosting the reality series since it started in 2000. What do you think of this new twist?

Big Brother airs Sundays and Wednesdays at 8 p.m. and Thursdays at 9 p.m. on CBS.
