Luke Perry is stepping back into the world of teen drama with The CW's Riverdale. The Beverly Hills, 90210 veteran will play dad to Archie (K.J. Apa) in the series based on the long-running Archie Comics, but he's not exactly dolling out advice to the budding new teen heartthrobs.
"That's not my job," he told E! News at The CW Upfronts in May. "Giving advice isn't my job."
However, he said he does care about the cast, which includes Cole Sprouse, Camila Mendes, Lili Reinhart, Ashleigh Murray, Casey Cott, Ashanti Bromfield, Daniel Yang, Irie Hayleau and Ross Butler, and said all he can tell them is "work hard and treat everybody well." Perry got his big break on Beverly Hills, 90210, a show that the world is very much still obsessed with. The CW revived the brand with 90210, which lasted five seasons and featured many returning faces from the original show including Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling, Shannen Doherty, but Perry's Dylan McKay never returned to the famous zip code. Would he now?
"I love those guys, you know I'd be down," he told us.
