The Real Housewives of New Jersey's Teresa Giudice and Jacqueline Laurita are no exception—and from what we've seen in the trailer, those mended fences eventually go bust again—but first they have to make nice.
In a preview from the Sunday, July 17 episode, Teresa gives old pal Jacqueline a call on New Year's Ever. Teresa was with their mutual friend and new cast member Dolores Catania when she was inspired to pick up the phone in an effort to "maybe we can rekindle our friendship."
"New year, new beginnings," she keeps repeating.
The former best friends have been on the outs for some time, but that hasn't stopped Jacqueline from hanging with Teresa's cousins Rosie Pierri and Kathy Wakile. In fact, they were there when Teresa called and Jacqueline took the call in speaker phone. Awkward.
"I know our paths are going to cross soon," Teresa says. "It's a new year, new beginnings."
"I like that," Jacqueline says.
Everything was going fine until Kathy and Rosie chimed in. Seems they weren't invited to the Giudice New Year's party. Teresa takes issue with the speakerphone, but Teresa, it's The Real Housewives of New Jersey. All calls are on speakerphone, especially when it's with another cast member. Come on.
"It took me a little off-guard," Teresa says. "'Cause it sounded like I didn't call Jacqueline, it felt like I called y cousins instead."
"This was f—king weird," Jacqueline says. "I'm not going to lie."
The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs Sundays, 8 p.m. on Bravo.
