E! News has learned the newlyweds left Peckforton Castle on Thursday afternoon around 12:30 p.m. and headed to a private airport to catch a flight out. The new wifey continued with her bridal theme, wearing a chic, all-white ensemble. She donned a blazer over a white maxi dress, wearing her hair down and long as she got into the car. Russell, on the other hand, opted for black pants with a bomber jacket and the Buscemi Site boots he shared on Instagram earlier this week.
A young girl was spotted carrying Ciara's bridal bouquet out to the car and another person was carrying a garment bag with the bride's dress. The couple looked a little—shall we say— run down from the night before...and we can only imagine why!
Their wedding looked like one for the books!
They tied the knot at Peckforton Castle in front of their friends and family. While E! News learned that their ceremony was "traditional" and "classy," we're sure things probably got really fun during the reception.
After all, with the list of celebrities in attendance—including Jennifer Hudson, LaLa Anthony, Kelly Rowland and more—we don't see how it couldn't!
Meanwhile, an insider told E! News Russell could barely keep his composure as Ciara—who wore a custom Roberto Cavalli dress, designed by the label's creative director, Peter Dundas—walked down the aisle toward him, looking like a "big, teary-eyed teddy bear." She, too, was shaking as she tried to hold back her tears.
Ciara's son, Future, was in attendance, too (of course) and stood by the pair's side throughout the ceremony. The insider said he "looked so cute and behaved very well" the whole time.
The ceremony ended when they said "I do" and shared a "very passionate" kiss, holding onto each other tightly. "It was not a quick kiss. They were locked," our source explained. "Everyone got so excited. [There] was not a dry eye in the room."
That passion was likely carried over into their wedding night.
In case you missed it, Ciara and Russell were very open about the fact that they were waiting to have sex until marriage. The footballer revealed their no-sex policy during an interview with Pastor Miles McPherson of The Rock Church, near San Diego."[Ciara] was on tour, and I was looking at her in the mirror, and God spoke to me. He said, 'I need you to lead her.' I told her, 'What would you do if we took all that extra stuff off the table, and just did it Jesus' way?'"
Ciara agreed, later commenting on their celibacy in another interview. "It was an organic thing for him, and I think he was just being honest about where we are," she explained at the time. "It's cool when you get to build a foundation with someone on how much you care for each other and really know each other's personalities, so it's really fun."
