It's go time for the E! Style Contributor contestants!

After last week's competition, we are officially half way there. Just two more rounds until the final 4 are off to Miami for the last leg of the contest presented by TRESemmé. The previous showdowns had contestants curating the ultimate festival season and business luncheon looks, but this week is all about the CFDA Awards red carpet. For the glamour-themed occasion competitors Sarah Jayne Jensen and Monica Veloz faced off.

With just one hour on the clock, and with some guidance from TRESemmé Stylist John D, both contestants decided that a dramatic take on old school curls was the answer.

For Sarah's look, a classic black lace gown gave off major throwback vibes. For a '60s twist, she styled the elegant look with a half-up hairstyle that was as playful as it was sexy. The key to creating volume in your red carpet waves at home is to switch up your shampoo routine. Instead, start off by using TRESemmé's Beauty-Full Volume Pre-Wash Conditioner to soften hair and then follow with TRESemmé's Beauty-Full Volume Shampoo to wash away weight.

For Monica's look, she evoked a sultry mood with a slinky yellow gown. To play up the old Hollywood glamour of her elegant look, a deep side part with cascading waterfall curls did the trick. To mimic enviable curls at home, simply brush hair through and set the look with a finishing mist of Beauty-Full Volume Flexible Finish Hairspray.

To see whose red carpet look secured them a spot in the top four and a ticket to the next round in Miami, watch the video above!
