Carrie Underwood & Brad Paisley to Co-Host CMA Awards Again for 50th Anniversary

The two have received rave reviews for their past hosting appearances, during which they showcased lively banter and much onscreen chemistry

Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley will reunite again, for the ninth time to be exact, for country music's biggest night!

The country stars will co-host the 2016 CMA Awards, the 50th anniversary of the event, live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Nov. 2. Paisley announced the news on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Tuesday, while Underwood also revealed it on social media. The two have received rave reviews for their past hosting appearances, during which they showcased  and much onscreen chemistry.

"I really enjoy hosting the CMA Awards with Brad," Underwood said in a statement. "Of course we have fun up there, but we take the responsibility of honoring the best artists in the format and shining a positive light on Country Music very seriously. And this year, the bar will be even higher as we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the CMA Awards. I can't wait."

"I look forward to hosting the CMA Awards each year," Paisley added. "Carrie and I have certainly hit our stride in terms of balancing humor and a genuine respect for the nominees and winners. This year the stakes are higher than ever as we honor the legacy and traditions of the past 50 years. We will give it everything we've got."

Sarah Trahern, CMA Chief Executive Officer, said "the broadcast is in great hands with Brad and Carrie."

The longest-running CMA Awards host is Vince Gill, who has hosted the ceremony 12 times, including 10 times on his own.

The 2016 CMA Awards will air live on ABC on Nov. 2 at 8 p.m. ET.
