Game of Thrones fans, executive producers DB Weiss and David Benioff have something to say: They're sorry.

The co-creators and showrunners of the HBO fantasy drama apologized to fans for the first time ever on Jimmy Kimmel Live. And no, they're not sorry for that whole "Jon Snow is really dead" thing (but let's be honest, they weren't necessarily lying about him being dead since he was…we digress), and they're certainly not sorry for killing off Hodor (Kristian Nairn). After all, they've killed off dozens of fan-favorite characters. It's their job.

No, they're sorry for all the dumb jokes that you will be plagued with since Hodor's origin story reveal and subsequent death.

"We'd like to apologize for Sunday's episode," Weiss said in the Jimmy Kimmel Live bit below.

"Not for killing Hodor," Benioff said. "We kill a lot of main characters."

"We've killed 739 main characters so far," Weiss said, surrounded by money.

"We're sorry for all the idiots, who, from now on will be shouting ‘Hodor!' every time you go through a door," Benioff said.

"We forgot how annoying people can be," Weiss said. "That's our bad."

"We should've seen that coming," Benioff sighed.

Game of Thrones airs Sundays, 9 p.m. on HBO. Jimmy Kimmel Live airs weeknights, 11:35 p.m. on ABC.
