One thing's for certain: Celebs love to meditate.

If you're like us, you keep a careful watch over the things celebs like Karlie Kloss and Gisele Bündchen do to keep themselves in tip-top shape. Sure they do yoga regularly, eat healthy and dedicate their lives to looking and feeling good, but, especially as of late, meditation has also been thrown into the mix.

No, meditating is not the same thing as doing yoga and it's not about fitness. So what exactly is it and why are celebs so sold on the ancient practice?

Regardless, we want in. To pinpoint the goal of meditation and to outline the practice, celeb meditation coach and OMG. I Can Meditate! co-founder Lynne Goldberg breaks it down.

The Point Is to Slow Down: In this day and age we're all always on our phones and doing ten things at once, so being present is tough. "Meditation helps us to pause and really focus on and enjoy what we are doing in that moment," assured Lynne. Living in the moment sounds good (doesn't it?) but, really, how do you do it?

Meditating Is Not As Complicated As You Might Think: "Meditation is simply the practice of focusing your attention on an object, which is typically your breath or a mantra," explained Lynne. As you sit with yourself, if you are distracted by a thought, simply pull your attention back to the breath, she further explained. "When you keep doing this over and over again, you mind naturally starts to become clearer and calmer," said the pro.

All It Takes Is 10 to 20 Minutes a Day: Meditation doesn't have any hard and fast rules, but to reap the most benefits, practice regularly, as needed. "It's more important to mediate regularly, so even 10 minutes every day is better than once a week for an hour," explained the expert. And let's be honest. If supermodel Karlie Kloss has time to squeeze in 10-minute meditations between fashion shows, so do we.

All You Need Is Yourself: The only thing you need for meditation is your breath. You can also mediate anywhere, but somewhere private is best. Becoming conscious of your breath (a.k.a. the art of meditating) is something that can really be done at any time, too. However, "I recommend that you do it first thing in the morning so you get to it before your mind gets busy from the day," shared Lynne.

Be Patient With Yourself: Learning to trust your inner wisdom won't happen overnight. "I think people worry that they might not be doing it right or that they shouldn't be having any thoughts at all when they meditate," said Lynne about the process. The fix: Just continue to redirect stray thoughts back to the attention of the breath. If you're doing this, you're doing it right and it will get easier.

Mediation Will Boost Your Mental Clarity and Relieve Stress: The benefits of meditation speak for themselves. Not only will you lose that mental fog from not being present-minded, you'll feel less stressed. Additionally, "Meditation is also really helpful for building creativity," explained Lynne. Taking care of your physical body is just one piece of the puzzle. "In order to be healthy we have to take care of our mind as well as our bodies," summed up Lynne in regards to the celeb-favored practice.
