Watch: Will Mark Ballas Be Able to Perform on "DWTS"?

It'll be a game-time decision for Mark Ballas.

After sitting out of his second performance with celeb partner Paige VanZant on Dancing With the Stars due to a back injury, fans might be missing the fan-favorite pro again during tonight's show.

E! News exclusively caught up with Mark and Paige at the rehearsal on Friday, where Mark offered us an update on his condition after doctors ran several scans to determine the severity of his injury.

"They cleared me," he said. "There's no fracture, thank god, but there is something other things going on that we're just being careful of."

However, before you start celebrating, Mark clarified that the doctors didn't clear him to perform on "Most Memorable Year' night just yet and they "still haven't made the decision" about whether or not he will be putting on his dancing shoes.

And as a precaution, DWTS troupe member Alan Bernsten, who filled in for Mark and danced with Paige at the last-minute last Monday, has been part of the pair's rehearsals, with Mark saying, "We're tag-teaming...I've been shadowing and figuring it out as we go...I'm getting in there, but I'm not doing it 100 yet."

While Paige and Alan managed to land one of the highest scores of the night (24/30), the UFC fighter admitted the situation was "scary" for her, telling us, "Allan stepped up and learned the routine very quickly. We had to change a lot of things, which was scary for me...everything was up in the air...I'm really happy I got to go out there and perform."

DWTS airs tonight at 8 p.m. on ABC.
