It Finally Happened: Chrissy Teigen Said Something We Disagree With

We can't believe it either.

Chrissy Teigen is kind of our life guru. She watches The Real Housewives religiously, we record every episode. She says she doesn't like sweet potato fries, we never order them again. She writes a cookbook, we immediately run to the kitchen to start cooking.

That's how it goes with Chrissy: She speaks the truth and we constantly find ourselves saying "Hell yeah." Scrolling through her Twitter feed consists of nonstop head-nodding at all of her Chrissy-isms.

Until today. Today, the impossible happened and we actually (gasp!) didn't agree with something that she Tweeted. And it all started with April Fool's Day.

Somebody played a mean prank on the world and announced to Yahoo that Trader Joe's would be closing all of its stores in 2016 and discontinuing all of its products. Yes, even the cookie butter! As one of the many readers who fell for said prank, Teigen took to Twitter to react, saying "I want to be sad about Trader Joe's but that place was always weird and creepy too [sic] me. Except their cookie butter."

And brace yourselves, Trader Joe's loyalists, because it gets worse. After realizing that the story was in fact a hoax, she continued with the tomfoolery, writing "Now I hate Trader Joe's even more" and "I always feel like they sense my uncomfortableness [sic] there."

The horror! The unspeakable sadness of it all! We truly don't know what to say.

Except, of course, for this: Never mess with the sanctity of Trader Joe's. It may not be for everybody, but it is everything to its loyal customers. Are they always insanely happy for no apparent reason? Sure. Is it often unnerving that it's a store full of grown men and women wearing Hawaiian shirts? Of course. But none of that matters to us in the end because everything they sell is so beautifully cheap and delicious.

Just think about what life would be like without the Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups. Or those packaged salads that are somehow half the price of any other store. Or that cheese section! Just think of all the cheese, Chrissy. We love you, but we're worried that you're not valuing that Brie selection as much as you should be.

We're pretty sure that this is just a one-time fluke, and that the model's Twitter feed will go back to its regular schedule programming full of musings that we can live by. But in the meantime, feel free to accompany us on our next Trader Joe's outing, and we'll show you how the regulars do it.
