So much for Meredith getting back on the horse.
While Meredith and Dr. Thorpe seemed to be having a great time when last week's episode ended, things do not look good for their future in this promo for tomorrow night's episode.
It seems that the hot military doc did make it as far as spending the night with Meredith after their adorable fast-food-in-the-car semi-date, but then something happens that causes Meredith to start screaming at him to get out.
He doesn't know what's going on, and Maggie and Amelia definitely don't know what made Meredith freak out like that, but something certainly sent her into a panic.
When we last saw Meredith and Will, they were just sitting in his car, enjoying fast food and sharing surgery stories. Mer was even resisting going into her house in order to talk to him more, which seemed like a good sign.
The description for tomorrow night's episode, "When It Hurts So Bad," says that Meredith "regrets taking a step forward with Will."
Is she feeling guilty for moving on too fast? Did he say something insensitive? Did one of her kids walk in on them? Or did something horrible happen that we don't even want to consider because Meredith has already been through so much?
"Just for the record, I didn't do anything," Will says in the preview, and he seems like he's telling the truth.
Here's hoping we don't have to watch Meredith suffer through any more trauma, and that whatever is going on here is something that can be worked through with a little more therapy and a few more hugs.
