TGI Fridays just opened a new prototype in Corpus Christi, Texas and the photos are so insanely different from what your used to that it might blow your mind.
Not only is TGI Fridays getting a sleek new look, but according to AdWeek, the new spot will open at 7 a.m. and will have juice and coffee stations, Wi-Fi and a deli case featuring grab-and-go salads and sandwiches. Very Starbucks-esque.
In the evenings, TGI Fridays will have live events like trivia, open-mic nights and live music.
TGI Fridays is also revamping its menu with a "Hangover Brunch" on the weekends, which includes this insane Bloody Mary:
Because we know you're wondering, this is what's in TGI Fridays Abso–bloody-lutely Bloody Mary: Absolut Vodka, Fridays Bloody Mary Mix, smoked salt rim, celery, bleu cheese stuffed olive, grape tomato and fresh lime. And you can get it served with your choice of skewers: Traditional Wings Skewer, Bacon-Wrapped Stuffed Jalapeños Skewer, Jack Slider and Fries Skewer. Hangovers will be vanquished!
"It's a response to what customers are looking for," CMO Brian Gies told Ad Week about the change. "We're finding that people will use the grab-and-go to bring something back to their table, or if they've been at the bar having a beer and they're winding down, they may grab a bite to go."
As to whether all TGI Fridays will adopt this new design, Gies said based on the sales the company is experiencing in the revamped location, "the likelihood is high."
