Seth Rogen just made our love for animated films adult-appropriate.

Yes, the funny guy has been in the process of making a NSFW cartoon movie called Sausage Party, which is basically an R-rated version of Toy Story with a focus on food.

Though not yet finished, Rogen screened the film at the South by Southwest festival in Austin on Tuesday night to a "rapturous applause" and a roar of continuous laughter from the crowd (according to Variety). Sony Pictures Entertainment released the trailer within hours after.

As you can see from the trailer, the movie is about one sausage leading a group of supermarket products on a quest to discover the truth about their existence and what really happens when they become chosen to leave the grocery store. It features voices of some of our favorite comedy stars, including: Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Jonah Hill, Bill Hader, Michael Cera, James Franco, Paul Rudd, Nick Kroll, Salma Hayek and more.

Rogen told the crowd at SXSW, "People project emotions on things around them—onto their toys, onto their cars, onto their pets. That's what Pixar has done for the last 20 years. We thought what would it be like if our food had feelings. We very quickly realized that would be f--ked up, because we eat it."

He also explained that he's been trying to make the film for eight years but struggled to find a studio that was willing to take the project on. Now that he's done so, he felt anxious to get the rough cut seen at SXSW—just as he did with Neighbors and Knocked Up.

"It's the only festival that treats comedy even remotely equal to the other genres," Rogen said. "I'm thrilled to be showing it to you guys."

Sausage Party is expected to hit theaters on Aug. 12.
