Even when James Corden is trying to be serious, he's still funny.

The host of The Late Late Show has found enormous success over the last year thanks to his new job and viral sensation "Carpool Karaoke," but he still hasn't acclimated to it. In fact, he was hesitant to even accept the job with CBS because of his family.

"I was Skyping my son on his birthday, and my wife was pregnant at the time. And I was like, this is only going to get harder," he tells WSJ. Magazine. "Here's someone offering me a job—[and] all I really want is to feel creative every day. And I realized it doesn't come around again. CBS doesn't go, 'Let's go back to the guy who passed.'"

Now, Corden refers to it as his "dream job." He's interviewing A-listers, dancing with toddlers and Jenna Dewan Tatum and, apparently, getting full-body tattoos (when Harry Styles isn't receiving them on his late-night show). On the cover of the magazine and in the accompanying photo shoot, Corden is covered in tattoos. From foxes to bugs, Corden underwent some serious inking—but don't worry! They're totally fake.

"Here's my interview in @WSJ it was @Harry_Styles who inspired the look!" Corden tweeted Tuesday afternoon.

The One Direction crooner has plenty of real tattoos on his own body and even received another one after losing a game on The Late Late Show, so we're not surprised he would suggest Corden try the look out for himself.

No word on how long he plans on keeping his temporary tattoos, but they'll probably be gone in time for his next carpool karaoke segment, which has easily become a fan favorite. As to why it's so successful, the British host has an idea.

"We're talking about, genuinely, the biggest stars on the planet, who—not always by choice—are surrounded by people all of the time," he explains. "Security, make-up, assistant, manager, publicist—then suddenly they get in a car and are on their own—with me."

Adele, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Justin Bieber and more have starred on the viral segment, so we can't to see who else Corden has in store for his trips around Los Angeles and London.
