Mindy Kaling totally stunned while presenting at the 2016 Costume Designers Guild Awards on Tuesday night, but she kept it real beforehand, proving it's not all glitz and glam ahead of stepping onto a red carpet.
The 36-year-old took to Instagram to share a hilarious photo of her "awards show prep," which apparently includes a corset, spanx and lots of deodorant (which may or may not be Old Spice, by the looks of it)...aka she's just like us!
"America's sweetheart," she captioned the photo, smiling as she applies some extra antiperspirant.
Well, her "prep" certainly worked out as she looked beyond beautiful in a Salvador Perez custom gown while hitting the stage to present the outstanding contemporary TV television series award.
Of course she couldn't do it without poking fun of herself first, though.
"I'm being honored with the Pillsbury award for best muffin top," she quipped. "Sorry you can't shave cheese on my clavicle. Yes I've tried to do that. But I will accept my award because the Pillsbury people are doing important work and because I have been described as poppin' fresh."
LOL! You go, girl.
The evening included a solid line up of celeb A-listers, including: Cate Blanchett, Kate Beckinsale, Quentin Tarantino, Emily Ratajkowski, Krysten Ritter, Kiernan Shipka and more.
While Blanchett was honored with the Lacoste Spotlight Award, Tarantino went home with the distinguished collaborator award. Meanwhile, stars like Beckinsale and Ratajkowski were in attendance as presenters throughout the show.
