Well, it only took eight weeks, but we've finally met new Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kathryn Edwards—and from the looks of things, she was well worth the wait.

The series' second injection of fresh blood this season (following the earlier introduction of spitfire Erika Girardi) crossed paths with the ladies late in the episode at the Hero Dog Awards pre-party being hosted by Lisa Vanderpump at her West Hollywood lounge Pump, bringing with her a surprising connection to Lisa Rinna, infamous Friend of the Housewives Faye Resnick, and—drum roll please—O.J. Simpson. (And no, we can't quite believe we just typed that sentence either.)

As her old pal Rinna brought up within seconds of running into her after who knows how many years, Kathryn's ex-husband Marcus Allen was famously linked to O.J.'s slain ex-wife Nicole Brown. Apparently, a rumor had spread that Marcus, himself a former NFL athlete, had cheated on Kathryn with Nicole, sending O.J. into a rage. The party responsible for the rumor? None other than Faye, who it seems wrote of the rumor in her book about Nicole's life that was released just months after the murder.

"I don't even like talking about this," Kyle Richards, Faye's BFF admitted in one of her talking heads. "This is really creepy." (Apparently not creepy enough to not be Faye's friend, though.)

After the ladies left Vanderpump's party for cocktails down the street, Kyle decided it was as good a time as any to ask the women she'd just met if she knew her friend who'd written about her. Kathryn immediately said she didn't, adding that if Faye's saying they know each other, she's lying. "Kathryn's response seems a little aggressive," Kyle said in another talking head. "I mean, it's just a question."

If Kathryn's defensive about being associated with Faye, it may be for good reason. "My feelings about Faye Resnick are not positive. She mentioned me in her book," the newbie said in an interview. "I never read it, but in the book she referenced me and said that I was just some kind of 'turn the blind eye, look the other way' kind of wife. There's a lot of things you can say about me. That is not one of them."

Naturally, there's only one thing to do when it comes to these two woman: Invite them to a dinner party with alcohol! (Which someone clearly did in the previews and we can look forward to next week.)

Bravo

Spare Parts:

- Who do Erika and Bethenny Frankel think they are, squashing that beef as quickly as Kyle tried to start it between them? Was that maybe the most adult resolution to a (non-)issue on this show ever? Let's look at the transcript:

B: "I feel so bad. Kyle told me I offended you last night."
E: "No, no, you didn't. I'm a big girl. It's no problem."
B: "I've been thinking about it now…"
E: "It's fine."
B: "Do you do this because it's fun and it's a hobby and it's an outlet or are you going for it? Like you're going to make a career out of it?"
E: "It's both."
B: "You're going all the way. Yeah. I think you should."
E: "Thank you."
B: "You're welcome."

And scene.

- There's a lot of Brandi Glanville talk again tonight without her around to defend herself (and with a bit of revisionist history on Kyle and Vanderpump's behalf, if you ask us). Erika summed it up best: "It seems as if they're ready to pounce, and they're rather obsessed with this woman. I mean, that's my opinion."

- Eileen Davidson opened up about a very dark period in her life during the last dinner in the Hamptons, revealing she'd been in an extremely abusive relationship in the past. It is very, very sad, but it really came out of nowhere and felt a bit odd, especially after she continued to take Vanderpump to task for asking personal questions this week.

- "I just wanna feel good and I wanna look fresh as f--king daisy. Just fresh." - Rinna, after Kathryn says she won't do any plastic surgery. We know, Rinna. We know.
