Whatever you do, don't bother Olivia Pope with your frivolous cookie recipe requests, you hear?
It looks like someone didn't get the memo in this exclusive sneak peek of tonight's Scandal winter finale as America's Gladiator-in-Chief finds herself bored to tears at a White House holiday party while a guest drones on about needing Liv's (Kerry Washington) help. What kind of help, you ask?
"Well, I've been searching forever and there was a cookie I had once, at a dinner with the president. It was just to die, I mean, really to die," the woman says. "I asked the chef, but I forget what he called it. It had a cute little name. Do you think you could get me that recipe?"
We'll just let Lizzie's (Portia De Rossi) thoughts on Liv's interaction speak for us: "It looks like Olivia Pope. It sounds like Olivia Pope. But that over there, making chit-chat, is weird."
Beyond Olivia's growing frustrations as she finds herself taking on more banal First Lady responsibilities, the winter finale will also see Mellie (Bellamy Young) proving exactly how powerful she can be, while Jake (Scott Foley) and Huck (Guillermo Diaz) continue the hunt for Rowan (Joe Morton). That hunt shouldn't be too difficult considering last week saw Papa Pope already in Huck's possession.
