If you hate the Twitter heart feature with the fire of a thousand burning suns, this new feature that is reportedly coming our way might be the best news ever or the worst news ever. Either way, it's just Twitter so relax. We're all going to get through this.

Twitter user _Ninji accidentally stumbled upon a new feature that the social media company may or may not be working on. Instead of just selecting a heart to "like" a tweet, it looks like users will soon be able to select from a range of different emojis. That's right. You thought Twitter could outrun the emoji takeover, but those damn yellow faces found them.

Based on the screengrabs taken by _Ninji, the emojis that might be included are the face with hearts for eyes, the crying face, the 100 and the party popper.  So pretty soon you will be able to act accordingly when your frenemy totally subtweets you. Say it to our face, Debra!

When asked by The Verge how _Ninji was able to access that feature, they said the emojis were part of the development-only version of the app, and that it looked "far from complete."

The emoji feature looks very similar to Facebook's upcoming reaction buttons, which will allow users to select different faces to respond to statuses and posts on their newsfeed.

The best part about this whole story? When The Verge reached out to Twitter for comment, they pulled the ol' 2015 Word of the Year tactic and responded with a singular emoji:

Yep. The "speak no evil" monkey. We intepret that as Twitter saying: "We'll never tell. Guess you'll have to wait to find out."

What do you guys think of emojis possibly coming to Twitter? Are you into it?
