When it comes to Taylor Swift's famous #squad, Ed Sheeran said it's not just for the girls.

During a 24-hour interview with Billboardthe 24-year-old British musician set the record straight on a misconception about his longtime friend's inner circle.

So, is he an honorary member of the group, jacket and all?

"Of course," he said with a chuckle, confirming that he also gets to hang out with the female posse. "It's not a vaginas-only club."

Since he's speaking of the opposite sex, the "Photograph" singer, who previously dated Scottish singer-songwriter Nina Nesbitt, also offered a public word to the wise regarding his love interests—kindly back away.

"I just never want to be public. It always, always backfires," he admitted. "I really wish I could disappear at moments that I'm with a significant other. It's none of anyone's f---ing business."

For now, the Grammy nominee is focused on his craft, though he admitted, when it comes to some of the industry's greats, he's running a couple years late.

"I don't stream anything ever...I don't even really get it. I buy everything off iTunes or physically," he revealed."I've never listened to a Radiohead album, to be honest. I didn't hear a Bruce Springsteen song until like two years ago, and now I f---ing love Springsteen. I didn't hear Michael Jackson songs till I was 14. I like discovering things on my own. I want to have that moment of ‘holy shit,' the moment of the epiphany."

While he may be a bit delayed on his own music collection, he's hoping fans don't wait too long to listen to his upcoming third studio album, which he's feeling uncharacteristically vulnerable about.

"This is my little baby," he declared. "Normally I don't care much about what people think of my music. If you love it, awesome; if you don't, go and listen to something else. But, this time is different. This project is a lot more dear to me. I'm nervous about how it's going to be received."

Well, to start, Jay Z has already listened to a sample on repeat.

"He made me play it four times in a row and called me an alien," Sheeran recollected. "That was promising."
