Malika Haqq is breaking her silence after being arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

In a Twitter post shared with her fans Saturday afternoon, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians and Dash Dolls star expressed remorse for her actions earlier in the week.

"I never imagined I would have to apologize for poor behavior and today I am thankful to be alive to say I'm sorry for my actions," she wrote. "My bruises don't meet my shame."

She continued, "Learn from the error in my ways…Save others, Save yourself. #BeSafe."

The 32-year-old was booked at Valley Jail in Van Nuys, Calif., Thursday morning after California Highway Patrol responded to a traffic collision involving the star's black Mercedes.

Officers confirmed to E! News that Malika sustained minor injuries and "was under the influence of alcohol."

Soon after the incident, Malika's twin sister Khadijah Haqq McCray released an exclusive statement to E! News.

"We all go through rough patches and this has been a difficult year for my sister," the statement read. "Malika understands the gravity of her actions and deeply apologizes. At this time, we will deal with this as a family."
