We don't need Kelsey Grammer to state his political beliefs—his T-shirt is doing all the talking.
The actor's wife Kayte Grammer took to Instagram on Friday to show off her husband wearing a shirt reading, "Would it bother us more if they used guns?," the slogan likening abortions to gun deaths.
"Thank you for the tee @abort73!" Kayte captioned the snapshot of Kelsey beaming at the camera.
A few days earlier, Kayte also posed in a similar T-shirt for Instagram. She captioned the photo with the hashtags, "#abort73 #standwithbabies."
According to the website, Abort73 is "an educational website that is working to protect children from abortion." T-shirts that support the movement are $15.
Kelsey has been openly public about his political views, and he even believes being a staunch Republican has cost him a few awards.
"I'm a declared out-of-the-closet Republican in Hollywood," he told Jay Leno in 2012. "Do I believe it's possible that some young person, young voting actor—or even older voting member for the Emmys—would sit there and go, 'Yeah, that's a great performance, but oooooooh, I just hate everything he stands for'? I don't believe that's possible," Grammer noted sarcastically.
His strong views on abortion might also be linked to something a bit more personal than politics. In 2010, Kayte suffered a miscarriage just two months after announcing her pregnancy.
"We lost our unborn child about six weeks ago," the couple said in a statement to E! News. "We would like to thank all of those who expressed kindness and concern but we needed a little time to heal, time to find some solace before we publicly acknowledged our loss."
Kelsey and Kayte have since had two successful pregnancies and are currently raising a son, Kelsey Gabriel Elias Grammer, 14 months, and a daughter, Faith Evangeline Elisa, 3.
The actor has four other children—Spencer, 31, Greer, 23, Mason, 13, and Jude, 10—from past relationships. He is also a grandfather to Spencer's son, Emmett, 3.
