Long before marrying Rande Gerber and welcoming two beautiful children, Cindy Crawford had a special flame in her life.

That famous face was none other than fellow actor Richard Gere.

While the couple called it quits in 1995 after four years together, fans of the pair are still waiting for more details about the relationship. Unfortunately, they aren't going to get much in Crawford's autobiography Becoming.

"It's not something I want to share," she explained in the latest issue of Porter. "If I felt that there was a great good that could come of it, I might have shared more, but I didn't think that there was anything for other people to learn or benefit from. And I wanted to be respectful."

For those who don't recall, the couple got married in a quick Las Vegas ceremony in 1991. While they shared a notable age difference—he was 17 years her senior—Gere was still able to pass on some lessons and wisdom to his ex.

"Look, I learned a lot from Richard," she explained. "I learned about how to be famous. Again, that's not a universal lesson. And a lot of the personal things, everything else I learned from that, were for me."

Today, Crawford is enjoying life with Gerber and her two growing children. And as she approaches the big 5-0 this coming February, the model is feeling great.

"I decided that, rather than run and hide from the fact that I'm turning 50, I would embrace it," she shared with the publication. To read more about Crawford's life and career, pick up Becoming available in stores now.
