Michelle Obama is sprucing things up at the White House!

FLOTUS unveiled a couple of small changes to the White House State Dining Room, including new silk drapes in beige and blue stripes as well as a new set of mahogany dining chairs.

Sometimes all a room needs is a woman's touch to really kick it up a notch, and that's precisely what Mrs. Obama managed to do.

This isn't the first time that Barack Obama's better half has upped the décor at the White House.

She's replaced the fine china (which is now a new set of Kailua Blue), given a mini facelift to the Old Family Dining Room, and added her own personal finishing touches all throughout.

Of course, the First Lady can't exactly go room-to-room redecorating however she sees fit.

The Committee for the Preservation of the White House, an advisory panel that oversees all changes made to the property, had to give its stamp of approval on Michelle's projects.

The updated formal dining room is said to have cost $590,000, multiple outlets are reporting, and was paid for by the White House Endowment Trust—a private fund run by the White House Historical Association.

Looks fit for the first family, if you ask us!
