Move over, Jennifer Garner—there's a new Elektra heading our way and we could not be more excited about it!

E! News has learned that Marvel's Daredevil is going to introduce the major comic book character in season two. So who nabbed the game-changing role?

Meet your new Elektra: French actress Elodie Yung! The G.I. Joe: Retaliation and District 13: Ultimatum star will take on the role previously played by Garner in the 2003 Daredevil movie and the 2005 Elektra spinoff film.

The Netflix series' version of Elektra is described as a mysterious woman from Matt Murdock's (Charlie Cox) past whose dangerous and exotic ways may be more than he can handle. She was actually referenced back in season one but now the fan-favorite Marvel character will make her sure-to-be epic debut in season two.

Elektra isn't the only major Marvel character being introduced in season two. The Walking Dead's Jon Bernthal was recently cast as Frank Castle, aka The Punisher, a vigilante who aims to clean up New York City's Hell's Kitchen by any means necessary, "no matter how lethal the results."

There are also some changes coming in terms of the show's leadership: Drew Goddard and Steven DeKnight are stepping down as showrunners and will be replaced by Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez who worked closely with DeKnight and Goddard on the first season.

Marvel's Daredevil season two will be available streaming only on Netflix in 2016.
