Camel Toe to High Fashion: #TBT ''Mom Jeans''—and We Can Thank Hailey Baldwin For Their Comeback

…but Tina Fey and Amy Poehler to blame for their existence!

So back in 2003 when we saw these awkwardly fitting, unattractive denim pants coined on SNL as "Mom Jeans," did we think they'd ever be cool?

Aside from maybe having a mom who rocked the 9-inch zipper, we first saw "Mom Jeans" in a commercial spoof where Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, and Rachel Dratch were prancing around with severe camel toes while smiling at the camera.  

The overly pleasant voiceover asks, "Are you looking for the perfect gift for mom this Mother's Day? Introducing Mom Jeans, exclusively at JC Penny's."

Well, we're not sure when they became cool (although we're going to give Topshop some credit) but they have.

And it's weird, but we love them!

We wonder if Tina or Amy knew they were starting a trend or if Hailey Baldwin ever thought about why her campaign came into existence. Either way, Hailey makes these jeans look hot and super fashionable—check out this video if you don't believe us.
